ArchDesk

Download ArchDesk

Two installers, and they go on different machines. Start with the first one — the second is only worth installing once the first is running.

ArchDesk

Required

The office computer

Checking…

Install this on the one PC that will hold the firm's data. It starts with Windows, hosts the app over your office network, and everyone else reaches it in a browser — no installation on their machines.

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
  • Runs from the system tray; starts automatically
  • Asks where to keep the data folder — that folder is your backup
  • Needs the internet once, to activate. Never again after that

ArchDesk Companion

Optional

Everyone else's computer

Checking…

Optional, and only useful once ArchDesk is running somewhere on the network. It lets a drawing open in AutoCAD straight from the browser and saves every Ctrl+S back to the office PC, instead of downloading and re-uploading files by hand.

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
  • Installs for one user — no administrator password needed
  • Does nothing at all until ArchDesk is on the network
  • No sign-in, no settings, no data of its own

After you install ArchDesk

  1. 1Open ArchDesk on the office PC. It will ask you to activate.
  2. 2Sign in with the email and password from your ArchDesk account — or paste an activation code from your account page. That PC needs the internet for this one step.
  3. 3Everyone else opens http://<office-pc-name>:3000 in a browser. Nothing to install on their machines.
  4. 4Moving to a different computer later? Deactivate the old one first — in ArchDesk under Settings → Subscription, or from your account page — then activate the new one. A licence lives on one PC at a time.
