Terms of Service
The agreement between you and NexArch Design Lab for the use of ArchDesk. Creating an account or installing the software means you accept it.
Last updated 8 September 2026. ArchDesk is a product of NexArch Design Lab, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
1.What you are buying
A subscription to ArchDesk is a licence to run the software, for the term you have paid for, on one computer at a time — the office PC that holds your firm's data and serves the app to everyone else over your own network. Your colleagues use it from their browsers and do not need a licence of their own.
ArchDeskCompanion, the small helper that opens drawings in AutoCAD and saves them back, may be installed on as many of your firm's computers as you like, at no additional cost. It does nothing on its own.
2.Employees, and what the plan limits
Plans are priced by how many employee accounts you can create. Partner and administrator accounts — the people who hold the licence — are not counted. The software enforces the limit when a new account is added; if you need more, move to a larger plan and the change takes effect as soon as your host syncs.
3.Activation, and moving to another computer
The software needs an internet connection once, to activate. After that it never needs one again — it verifies its licence on the machine itself.
Activation binds the licence to that computer. Attempting to activate a second machine while the first still holds the licence is refused, and the software will name the computer that has it. To move — a new PC, a rebuild, a machine that has died — release the licence from your account page or from the software's own settings, then activate the new one. There is no charge for this and no limit on how often you do it.
4.What you may not do
- Share, resell, sublicense or rent your licence, or run it for a firm other than the one it was bought for.
- Work around the licence check, the seat limit, or the one-computer rule, or help anybody else to.
- Take the software apart in order to build a competing product from it.
None of that stops you doing the ordinary things: reinstalling, restoring from your own backup, moving to a new PC, or keeping a copy of the installer.
5.Your data is yours, and it is on your computer
Everything your firm puts into ArchDesk is stored in a single folder on your own office computer. We hold no copy of it. If that machine is lost, stolen, wiped or fails, and you have no backup, we cannot recover your data — not because we will not, but because we have never had it.
Taking a backup is therefore genuinely your responsibility, and the software makes it as easy as we know how: copy one folder. We recommend doing it on a schedule and keeping a copy off the machine.
You own everything you create in the software. Ending your subscription does not give us any right to it, and there is nothing for us to withhold.
6.Term, renewal and what happens when it lapses
A subscription runs for the term you bought and does not auto-renew: nothing is charged without you buying it. We do not take a payment method and store it against your account.
When a term ends the software gives you a grace period of fourteen days, during which it keeps working and tells you it needs renewing. After that it locks. Locking is not deleting. Your data stays exactly where it is, untouched, and renewing at any point later brings the whole workspace back as it was.
Renewing never requires a new activation code. Buy the extension, press Sync in the software's settings, and the new date arrives.
7.Support and updates
Support is by email at archdesk@nxdl.in, and we answer as quickly as a small team honestly can. Updates released during your term are included; you install them when it suits you, and your data folder is never touched by an update.
8.Suspension and ending the agreement
We may withdraw a licence if a subscription is not paid, or if section 4 is being broken. Where it is a payment matter we will tell you first and give you a fair chance to sort it out.
You may stop at any time. You can close your account yourself. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
9.What we promise, and what we do not
We promise that the software does what this website says it does, and that we will fix it when it does not. Beyond that it is provided as it is: we cannot promise it is free of every defect, or that it will suit a purpose we have not described.
ArchDesk runs on your hardware and your network. We are not responsible for a computer that fails, a drive that dies, a network that goes down, or a backup that was never taken.
10.Liability
Where the law allows it to be limited, our total liability to you for anything arising out of this agreement is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business or lost data.
Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud.
11.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page says when they last changed, and anything that materially affects a running subscription applies from your next renewal rather than immediately.
12.Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
